There are other healing accounts throughout the New Testament, where Jesus performs miracles through laying his hands on someone such as Mark 7:32-35, Mark 6:5, Matthew 9:18-25, Luke 13:3-10 and many other verses. You might be thinking, "That's great that Jesus is able to heal that way, but He has connections to get things done!"
So Jesus was able to heal through touch, but He also allows his followers to have connections to bring about healing. In Matthew 10:8, Jesus tells his followers, "Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons." and in Mark 16:18 he says,"...They will place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed." His followers continue to heal after Jesus has ascended to heaven in Acts 3:1-9.
How is all of this possible? Jesus says in Matthew 19:26 "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." We know that God has made each person with amazing intricacies as it is written in Psalm 139:13-14 "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." God doesn't make junk. Rather, He makes people with the inborn potential to heal.There is POWER within you.
